Our inspiration for this collection begins on the thin edge of the ocean's shoreline known as the intertidal zone. It's where life straddles air and water, where vibrant plant life grows amongst the sand and salt encrusted rocks, sometimes fully exposed in the sun, at other times completely submerged in water. We are intrigued by this fragile ecosystem that supports a wide variety of algae, kelp and lichens under extreme surf and weather conditions. It's a place where unexpected things collect, sometimes floating in on a wave or carried in by the tide.
